Save Our Post OfficesCllr Rosie Sharpley is campaigning against the proposal to downgrade Woking's main Post Office to a counter within WH Smiths and close the branch in Oriental Road. 2,500 Post Offices face the axe across Britain. Post Offices in Hermitage, Old Woking and Pyrford have already been lost since 1999. We cannot afford to see more of these valuable local services closed or downgraded. Only the Lib Dems have a fully costed plan to save our Post Offices through a share ownership Trust scheme similar to the John Lewis Partnership. Read More About Woking Post Offices.
