Derek McCrum for Kingfield & Westfield

Derek was re-elected for a second term as the Ward Councillor for Kingfield and Westfield in 2009.

Derek has lived in Westfield for 26 years and has served the area as Borough Councillor for 5 years. A retired science teacher, he now teaches swimming at David Lloyd in Westfield. He is married with two grown up children. He is a Governor of Woking College and has been involved in Scouting for many years. Derek is working to develop play areas and youth facilities and he has created two football pitches locally. He has helped develop 4 Residents' Associations. With so much development targeted on South Woking, he continues to oppose over-development, especially in back gardens.
